Yoo Jin Na is a physician and a writer. She received her M.D. from University of Illinois where she spent more time reading novels than her textbooks. She also studied fiction at Columbia MFA program. Her works have appeared in The Rumpus, openDemocracy, and Hemispheres. She is currently working on a travel memoir.
