Veronica Gonzalez's fiction has been published in various magazines and anthologies, including Black Clock, The Massachusetts Review, Life as We Show It, and Juncture: 25 Very Good Stories and 12 Excellent Drawings, an innovative cross-genre anthology she co-edited for Soft Skull Press. She has written on art and in 2004 began rockypoint press, a small limited-editions press which produces silk-screened prints and books of artist-writer collaborations. Twin Time: or, how death befell me, her first novel, received the 2008 Premio Aztlán Literary Award for fiction and was voted best novel of 2007 by Eileen Myles in The Believer book awards.
