Tamar Halpern

Writer/Director Tamar Halpern recently adapted and directed Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, based on the book by New York Times best selling young adult author Wendy Mass, starring Mira Sorvino, Michael Urie and Joe Pantoliano with music by Edie Brickell and Sing-Sing. Previous work includes the feature Shelf Life, called a “whip smart film that taps into a fresh source for American comedy” by Variety. Llyn Foulkes One Man Band, her documentary about the Los Angeles painter, premiered at the 2013 LA Film Festival. A two-time writing resident of Hedgebrook, Tamar’s short fiction has been published in Joyland Magazine and won the Best of the Net 2010.
