Seema Yasmin is the author of eight books, including the poetry collection, If God is a Virus (Haymarket), which features documentary poetry based on original reporting from the 2014-2016 Ebola epidemic and was voted one of the best books of 2021 by the New York Public Library. Her reporting appears in the New York Times, Rolling Stone, WIRED and other outlets. Her debut novel Unbecoming (Simon and Schuster) and picture book The ABCs of Queer History (Hachette) are forthcoming in 2024.
