Mina Hamedi grew up in Istanbul, Turkey and is of Turkish/Iranian descent.
She received a B.A. from NYU’s Gallatin School and an M.F.A. in Nonfiction
from Columbia University's School of the Arts. Mina has had essays featured
in
Arcturus, Off Assignment, EuropeNow Journal, Apogee Journal, BOMB
Magazine, Entropy,
and Black Warrior Review. She works as a literary assistant for
the agent Lynn Nesbit at Janklow & Nesbit Associates and is currently
writing a memoir about her grandfather, the family company he founded 75
years ago, and the nature of legacies.
