Michael V. Smith is a queer writer, performer, and filmmaker living in Kelowna BC. Smith has won the inaugural Dayne Ogilvie Award for LGBTQ Emerging Writers, a Western Magazine Gold Award for short fiction, and numerous film festival prizes. His memoir,
