McKinley M. Hellenes
A Vancouver ex-pat, McKinley M. Hellenes lives and works in Mission, BC. Her stories have appeared in magazines such as Broken Pencil, Kiss Machine, The Frequent & Vigorous Quarterly, and Memewar, and in anthologies such as Red Light: Superheroes Saints and Sluts, Can’tLit: Fearless Fiction From Broken Pencil Magazine, and the Journey Prize Stories 17. She came in second place in last year’s 3 Day Novel Writing Contest with her novella Everything Will Be Okay. She is currently at work on a novel about postwar Vancouver for which she received a Canada Council for the Arts grant.
