Maggie Shipstead graduated from Harvard in 2005 and earned an M.F.A. at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Her story “The Cowboy Tango” will appear in The Best American Short Stories 2010, and her first novel will be published by Knopf in 2012. Currently, she is a Stegner Fellow at Stanford.
