Lyndsey Ellis is a St. Louis native who lives in Oakland. She received her MFA in Writing from California College of the Arts in San Francisco. Ellis is a VONA/Voices alumna and recipient of the San Francisco Foundation's 2016 Joseph Henry Jackson Literary Award. Her work appears in several journals. She loves thrift stores and Afro-Samba dance.
