Luisa’s work has appeared in numerous print and online publications, including the New York Times, New York, Latina, and many more. In 2006 she appeared as the lead character in the award-winning feature film Day Night Day Night, which was an official selection at Cannes. She also starred as Anna in Alejandro Gonzàlez Iñárritu’s short film Anna. Her first novel, Waking Up in Gravesend, of which this story is an excerpt, is a literary thriller set in Brooklyn.
