Kristen Iskandrian’s first novel, MOTHEREST, is being published by Twelve/Hachette this August. Other work appears or is forthcoming in Tin House, Zyzzyva, Epoch, and Ploughshares, among others. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area to immigrant parents, she has lived much of her adult life in the South – first in Georgia for over a decade, and currently in Birmingham, Alabama.
