Katie Chase grew up in a suburb of Detroit and lives currently in Portland, Oregon. Her fiction has been selected for Best American Short Stories and a Pushcart Prize and appeared in such venues as FiveChapters, Narrative, The Missouri Review, and Zyzzyva. Her honors include fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, San José State University's Steinbeck Center, and the Iowa Writers' Workshop, where she received her MFA.
