John Thornton Williams has studied Creative Writing at the University of Tennessee, Hollins University, and the University of Wyoming, where he is currently an MFA candidate. He is a recipient of Glimmer Train's New Writer Award and a Tennessee Williams Scholarship in Fiction to attend the Sewanee Writers' Conference. His fiction has also recently appeared in Story, Witness, and The Masters Review.
