Jenessa Abrams is a Norman Mailer Fiction Fellow and has been awarded
fellowships and grants from the MacDowell Colony, the Ucross Foundation,
the Vermont Studio Center and Columbia University. Her writing has been
published in Tin House Online, Guernica,Washington Square, BOMB Magazine, The Offing, The Rumpus, and elsewhere. In 2016, she was named a finalist for
Narrative Magazine's 30 Below Contest and Glimmer Train's Very Short
Fiction Award. Her work was nominated for the 2017 PEN/Robert J. Dau Short
Story Prize for Emerging Writers. She has an MFA in fiction and literary
translation from Columbia University.
