Heather Sappenfield’s stories have won the Danahy Fiction Prize, the Arthur Edelstein Prize for Short Fiction, and a Pushcart nomination. Her stories have appeared Meridian, So To Speak, Tampa Review, and Shenandoah. Her story collection was a 2012 finalist for the Flannery O’Connor Award, and her just-completed novel finished second in the Writer’s Digest Writing Competition. Her interview with Bonnie Jo Campbell appeared in the May/Summer 2012 issue of The Writer’s Chronicle. Her interview with George Saunders will appear in September/Fall 2013. She lives with her husband and daughter in Vail, Colorado.
