Greg Chandler’s fiction and essays have been published in Fresh Yarn, The Barcelona Review, the Encyclopedia Project, Southern Ocean Review, and The Wag, among others. He completed his MFA in fiction at Columbia University, and lives in Pasadena, California. He recently finished a novel, American Upset, and two screenplays, Ginger and Leather, both of which go into production in Summer 2011. Traces of Hugh is set on the Sam Merrill Trail in Altadena, California, and was inspired by Certain Places, a series of photographs by Catharine Stebbins (http://www.catharinestebbins.com/certainplaces/index.html).
