Erika Thorkelson has lived in Winnipeg, Edmonton, Dublin, and a small town in Japan, but currently resides in Vancouver. Her work as a freelance culture reporter and literary journalist has appeared in several big bad Canwest newspapers as well as Herizons and Edmonton’s SEE Magazine. She is a finalist for the 2010 Event Creative Non-fiction Contest. She’s currently working on a novel while pursuing an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia. This is her first published work of fiction.
