Eric Shonkwiler was born and raised in Ohio, received his MFA from The University of California Riverside, where he was awarded the Chancellor's Distinguished Fellowship, and has lived and worked in every contiguous U.S. timezone. He has had writing appear in The Los Angeles Review of Books, The Millions, Fiddleblack, [PANK] Magazine, and Midwestern Gothic. He was recently awarded the New River Gorge Winter Writer's Residency for 2015. His debut novel, Above All Men, is a Midwest Connections 2014 Pick and is available now from MG Press.
