Daphne Palasi Andreades is a writer from Queens, NY. She is an MFA Fiction candidate at Columbia University, where she was awarded the 2018 Henfield Prize. She’s received fellowships and scholarships to the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, the Edward F. Albee Foundation, and Martha’s Vineyard Institute for Creative Writing, where she won 1st Place for the 2018 Voices of Color Prize. Her work often explores diaspora, immigration, and the far-reaching effects of colonialism and imperialism.
