Cynthia Flood is the author of numerous books, most recently Red Girl Rat Boy (Biblioasis, 2013), which was named a Notable Book of 2013 by both January Magazine and Quill & Quire. CBC has called Flood "one of ten women writers you need to read." Flood’s short stories have been awarded the Journey Prize and a National Magazine Gold Award. She has lived in Canada, the United States, and England, and currently resides in British Columbia.
