Cole is an emerging writer based in Rochester, Minnesota. Her writing grapples with issues of migration, diasporas, cities, identity, culture, and both personal and collective myth-making. She was recently a 2016 Emerging Writer fellow with the Givens Foundation for African American Literature in Minnesota and a finalist in fiction for the 2016-2017 Loft Literary Center's Mentor Series Program.
