Apryl Lee is the co-founder and host of Halfway There, a literary reading series in Montclair, NJ. Her short stories and essays have been published or are forthcoming at the New Orleans Review, Word Riot, Underwater New York, Keyhole Press, Necessary Fiction, and Handwritten Work, among others. She holds an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and lives in New Jersey with her husband and son. Turkey Knees is part of her book of linked stories woven around recurring, mostly female protagonists.
