Antonia Angress was born in Los Angeles and raised in San José, Costa
Rica. Her fiction and essays have appeared in
Lit Hub, Arts & Letters, Lunch Ticket, and more. A
graduate of Brown University, she is currently an MFA candidate in
fiction at the University of Minnesota. Her work has received support
and recognition from the Community of Writers, Tin House, the Mendocino
Coast Writers’ Conference, the Writers’ League of Texas, and the
Faulkner Society, among others. She lives in Minneapolis and is at work
