Aliyah Muhammad

Aliyah Marie Muhammad is a poet and creative non-fiction writer from Oakland, CA. She began her journey as a Black feminist at Mills College, where she graduated with her BA in English. Her work is published with Castle of Our Skins and is forthcoming in Spoken Black Girl. She's taught chapbook making at the Downtown Oakland Senior Center and received a fellowship to attend Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing. In her spare time, Aliyah and her mother collaborate on new projects in her mother’s fine art printmaking studio.
