Alexis Landau recently completed her PhD in Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Southern California, where she currently teaches writing. Her first novel, The Empire of the Senses: A Novel, will be published this March from Pantheon, Random House. Originally from Los Angeles, she lives there with her husband and two children.
