A.G.S. Gordon is a late-call writer, having come to the form in the wake of training as a studio artist. She holds a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from California Institute of the Arts and has exhibited paintings and drawings on both coasts and in the Southwest. Working as a journalist in the 2000s, she received awards for film criticism, arts features, and headline writing. Her poetry has appeared in the Sewanee Theological Review and presented in spoken-word performance in venues such as the Marfa Book Company in Marfa, Texas. She lives with her husband in New Mexico.
